JEE Main 2020 application form has been released on 3rd September 2019. Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main examination will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). This examination is conducted two times every year i.e. January and April session. Through this exam admission will be offered in B.Tech. / B.E. and B. Arch. & B. Plan Etc. courses.

Important Dates for JEE Main 2020

Here we have mentioned important exam dates for JEE Main 2020:

For January Session:

 JEE Main 2020 Application Details

For January session JEE Main 2020 application form can be filled from 3rd September 2019 to 30th September 2019. Application form will be released from 7th February 2020 to 7th March 2020 for April session. Application form has been released through online mode. There no offline mode is entertained to fill the application form.

Candidates must fill their application form carefully to avoid such a kind of mistake.

Fill all details carefully including education, personal etc. upload your documents in prescribed format. Application correction facility will also be provided by the authorities on 11 to 17 October 2019. No changes will be accepted through mail/ fax etc.

Application fee for JEE Main 2020 can be paid through online mode using credit card/ debit card/ net banking and PAYTM services.

Steps to fill JEE Main 2020 Application Form:

  • Visit the official website (jeemain.nic.in).
  • Read given instructions carefully and then click on ‘Apply Online’.
  • Fill asked details carefully in the application form.
  • Select examination centers.
  • Now upload your passport size photograph (10 to 200 kb) and signature (4 to 30 kb) in JPG/ JPEG format.
  • Click on the .Pay Exam Fee’ tab.
  • Submit your application fee through online.
  • A confirmation page will be generated.
  • Take printout of the filled application form for future references.

Eligibility for JEE Main 2020

Candidates must pass 10th and 12th standard examination form any recognized board. Candidates should have to pass their qualifying examination with physics, and mathematics and any one from chemistry, biology, biotechnology subjects. There is no age limit criteria prescribed for JEE Main 2020 examination. For admission in NITs, IITs and CFITs candidates must secure minimum of 75% (for SC/ ST- 65%) marks in their qualifying examination.

Pattern of JEE Main 2020

Candidates can check JEE Main 2020 examination pattern from below:

For B.Tech/ B.E.:

Examination for paper I and party II will be conducted through online mode only. Question paper will be of total 300 marks. For each correct answer 4 marks will be awarded and 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong attempt. There will be no negative marking for numerical value.

For B.Arch.:

Examination will be held through online mode for part I and part II.  For part III (drawing test) examination will be conducted through offline mode. Question paper will be of 400 marks. Marking scheme will be same as for the B.Tech. / B.E. courses.  For part III – two questions will be evaluated out of 100 marks.

For B.Plan:

Examination will be held through online mode only. Total 100 questions will be asked in the examination. Question paper will be of 400 marks. Marking scheme will be same as for the B.Tech and B.Arch. courses.

Syllabus:

B.Tech/ B.E. course syllabus will include topics from physics, chemistry and mathematic subjects. Syllabus will be based on 11th and 12th level.

Here we have mentioned some important topics from the subject:

Mathematics: Questions paper will include topics from sets, relations and functions, integral calculus, vector algebra, trigonometry, mathematical induction, differential equation, sequences and series etc.

Physics: Question will contain topics from physics and measurement, law of motion, kinematics, rotational motion, work, energy and power, gravitation, thermodynamics, oscillations and waves, atoms and nuclei etc.

Chemistry: Questions will be asked form the topics like some basics concept of chemistry, chemical bonding and molecular structure, state of matter, chemical thermodynamics, chemical kinetics, surface chemistry, equilibrium, polymers etc.

JEE Main 2020 Admit Card

JEE Main 2020 admit card will be released through online mode. Candidates can download their admit card from 6th December 2019. Candidates must bring their admit card at the day of exam.

Candidates will also have to bring one passport size photograph and one ID proof.  Candidates who does not bring admit card and photo, ID will not be permitted for the exam.

JEE Main Answer key

JEE Main 2020 answer key will be released after few days of the examination. Answer key will be available through online mode. Candidates can check their answer key in PDF format.

To check the answer key candidates will have to enter their login details i.e. application number and passport. Candidates can also challenge the answer key by paying extra fee.

JEE Main 2020 Result

JEE Main 2020 result will be declared through online mode on 31st January 2020. No offline score card will be sent to the candidates by post or mail. Check all the details carefully in the result including total obtained marks, all India rank, name, roll number and etc.

In case of any discrepancy in details printed on the result, candidates can contact to the officials.

JEE Main 2020 Merit List

A separate merit list will be prepared by the national testing agency after announcement of the result. Candidates who have appeared in the entrance examination can check merit list through online mode.

Based on the merit list candidates can participate in the counselling process. In the merit list candidates can check their all India rank and category rank.

JEE Main 2020 Counselling

Candidates whose name is present in the merit list will be able to attend the JEE Main 2020 counselling process. Counselling will be conducted through online mode. Counselling process will be managed by the JOSSA.

Candidates will have to apply colleges separately with their scores. Seats will be allotted to the candidates based on the marks obtained by the candidates, document verification, availability of seats and etc.
