Kurukshetra University is a public university which was established in 1956 as a unitary residential university. The foundation stone was laid by late Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India. Kurukshetra University is one of the premier educational institutions of India. The university has been awarded A+ Grade by NAAC and has been placed at 8th position amongst the state universities of the country. This university offers 175 courses on the campus in 47 departments through a highly qualified faculty.
