NDA 2024: Application Form (Out), Exam Date, Eligibility, Pattern

NDA 2024 Application Form has been released for phase two. Exam dates has been announced. The NDA 1 2024 is conducted on 21st April 2024  and NDA 2 2024 on 1st September 2024. Union Public Service Authority (UPSC) is conducting NDA entrance Exam at national level twice a year. This exam is a selection process to find eligible candidates to join their Army, Navy and Air Force wings of NDA and Indian Naval Academy Courses (INAC). Selection of candidates will be based on a written test and SSB Interview. NDA 2024 Application Form

The UPSC has released Application Form of NDA 2 2024 on 15th May 2024 along with notification through online mode. Interested candidates must fulfill all the eligibility criteria before applying for NDA 2024 exam. Candidates have  to register themselves first at One Time Registration (OTR) platform. 

Applicants will also be able to modify their OTR profile from OTR correction window in next 7 days after the closure of application form. All applicants are required to provide valid & active e-mail id while filling up an online application form. 

Candidates have to provide personal and qualification details and upload relevant documents like photography dn signature to fill the application form. The online application can be filled upto 4th June 2024. A copy of application form must be retained by candidates for future correspondence.

Application Fee:

NDA 2024 Application fee can be remitted via both online as well as offline mode. Candidates have to pay Rs. 100/- as application fee (SC/ ST/ NCOs/ JCOs/ ORS category are exempted from paying fee).

In case of offline payment, candidates have to remit fee through SBI Bank Challan or “Pay by Cash” mode option and use Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card/UPI Payment or internet banking for online  payment.

Fee once paid is not refunded under any circumstances nor be reserved for any other examination or selection.

NDA 2024 Eligibility Criteria

We have mentioned NDA Eligibility Criteria for the reference of candidates in below table:

Nationality	Applicants must be an Indian Citizen/ a subject of Nepal/ a person of  Indian origin migrated to Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam with an intention to settle in India permanently.
Age Limit	Candidates must not have born before  2nd July, 2005 and after 1st July, 2008 to be eligible
Marital Status	Male or female candidates applying for exam must undertake not to marry until they complete their full training
Qualification	For Army Wing of National Defence Academy: Candidates must pass 12th class or equivalent examination recognised by State Education Board/University.For Air Force and Naval Wings (Cadet Entry Scheme): Passed 12th class examination  recognised by State Education Board/University with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Appearing candidates will also be eligible to apply.
Physical Standards	One must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to NDA and NA Examination

NDA 2024 Exam Pattern

The pattern of NDA 2024 exam will be as follows:

• NDA 2024 exam will be held through Offline (Pen-Paper Based) mode.
• Exam will consist of two sections- Mathematics and General Ability.
• Duration of exam will be 5 hours (2 hours and 30 minutes for each section).
• The question paper will include Objective Type Questions only.
• Questions will be asked in Bilingual i.e, both English and Hindi languages.
• One third (33%) marks will be deducted as negative marking for each wrong question.

The maximum time allowed and marks allotted for each section will be as follows:

NDA 2024 Syllabus

The syllabus of NDA 2024 exam will be divided into two sections:

• Mathematics: Algebra, Matrices & Determinants, Trigonometry, Differential Calculus, Statistics & Probability, Vector Algebra, Integral Calculus and Differential Equations, Analytical Geometry of Two & Three Dimensions.
• General Ability Test: This sections is also divided in sub sections such as:
  • Part-A English: This sub-section is designed to test a candidate’s understanding of  English in various expects like Grammar and usage, vocabulary, comprehension and cohesion in extended text etc.
  • Part-B General Knowledge: In this sub-section, General Knowledge of subjects like Physics, Chemistry, General Science, Social Studies, Geography and Current Events topics will be broadly covered

NDA 2024 Exam Centre

The examination will be held in 77 cities across India. Some of the exam centres of NDA 2024 will be Agartala, Ghaziabad, Panaji (Goa), Ajmer, Gurgaon, Port Blair, Aizawl,  Hyderabad, Puducherry, Indore, Raipur, Bengaluru, Jaipur, Bareilly, Jammu, Shillong, Bhopal, Jodhpur, Shimla, Dehradun, Leh, Tiruchirapalli, Dispur, Mandi, Vellore, Gangtok, Mysore, Visakhapatnam, Gaya, Nagpur, Warangal etc.

NDA 2024 Admit Card

For NDA 1, admit card has been issued on 12th April 2024. Eligible candidates will be issued an admit card a week before commencement of NDA entrance exam. Candidates will have to go through the UPSC website to download the online admit card. It will be issued in fourth week of August 2024.

For downloading the hall ticket, candidates will be required to enter their registration ID and DOB/Roll No., name, father’s name  etc. No candidate will be allowed to take the examination unless he holds a valid admit card. In case of any discrepancies in admit card, candidates must immediately inform the authority. 

NDA 2024 Answer Key

UPSC will release the NDA answer key 2024 on their website after the declaration of the result. Many coaching institutes will also release the unofficial answer key within a few hours after the completion of exam. 

Applicants will be able to download the answer key for all sets of each sections i.e,  Mathematics and General Ability Test (GAT). Using answer keys, candidates will be able to calculate their probable marks and get an  idea of their chances of qualification.

NDA 2024 Result

The result of NDA 2024 has been declared by the authority on 9th May 2024 for NDA 1 and 3rd week of September 2024 for NDA 2. It will be declared for only those candidates who will be appearing for entrance exam. 

NDA 2024 result will be released in PDF Format through online mode in which names and roll number of qualified candidates will be mentioned. Qualified candidates will be shortlisted for the interview round. 

NDA 2024 Merit List

After qualifying the entrance exam and SSB Interview round, authority will release a merit list of shortlisted candidates. Final admission will be offered to eligible candidates on the basis of rank obtained in merit list. 

The merit list of NDA 2024 will be prepared based on cumulative scores of written exam and SSB Interview.  The authority will release a merit list of selected candidates for joining Army, Navy and Air Force wings of NDA and Indian Naval Academy. 

NDA 2024 Cut Off

NDA 2024 Cut Off will be published along with result through online mode on the website. Those candidates who will obtain minimum qualifying cut off marks in entrance exam will be shortlisted for SSB Interview. 

Applicants must secure more than or equal to least possible cut off marks to be shortlisted for further process. The cut off marks are affected by various factors such as number of vacancies, difficulty level of exam, number of candidates applying, cut off trend’s etc.

NDA 2024 Interview 

NDA 2024 SSB Interview round is the final stage of selection. Applicants will be selected for interview process as per their performance in written test.  The selection process will consist of two stages i.e, Officer Intelligence Rating (OTR) or Picture Perception & Description Test and medical fitness test. 

Candidateswho will qualify the written test will be provided a call up letter for SSB interview. They will have to report for SSB Interview on the date intimated to them in call up letter. All the original documents will have to be carried by candidates for verification process at the time of interview.
